Adeptus Solutions, Inc. is seeking an experienced Tester/508 Tester to provide Section 508 accessibility services to ensure OIG’s compliance with applicable accessibility requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
- Section 508 accessibility testing and evaluation of external-facing OIG website.
- Section 508 accessibility issues and proposed solutions for remediation, perform testing and evaluation of the external-facing OIG website against Section 508 accessibility standards.
- Implementation of remediation solutions.
- (Accessible Webpage Services) Completion of post-remediation testing and validation.
- Accessible documentation services for approximately 100 OIG products, as requested.
- Generate a detailed report, submitted to the COR, documenting findings and proposed solutions, including specific accessibility violations, impacted ICT components, and feasible recommendations for the remediation of each finding. The Contractor will achieve 100 percent compliance with Section 508 accessibility requirements and standards for OIG products, as requested.
- Training and Consultation Services.
- Conduct a comprehensive review of external-facing webpage contents to identify and remediate accessibility barriers.
- Achieve 100 percent compliance with Section 508 accessibility requirements and standards for OIG products.
- Training and Consultation Services—Periodically provide virtual training or consultation sessions on Section 508 conformity on an as needed basis, with at least one semi-annual training session. Training sessions may be recorded and made available for OIG’s internal use.
- Generate a detailed report, submitted to the COR, documenting findings and proposed solutions, including specific accessibility violations, impacted ICT components, and feasible recommendations for the remediation of each finding.
Basic Qualifications
- The Section 508 Compliance Specialist shall have at least 3 years of demonstrated experience with the testing and evaluation of Federal agency webpage content, systems, and software applications to comply with Section 508 compliance standards
- The Section 508 Compliance Specialist shall have at least 3 years of demonstrated experience with reporting findings, proposing solutions, and implementing remedies to support Federal agencies’ Section 508 compliance regarding their webpage content, systems, and software
- The Section 508 Compliance Specialist shall hold a current Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Trusted Tester V5 Certification
