Accounts Payable Specialist Job 2024 Full Time

The accounts payable (AP) department keeps that system running smoothly by managing cash flow and paying vendors and suppliers. We are searching for a skilled financial specialist to join our AP team to help process, track, and record payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. This person will assist the Accounts Payable Manager with accounting and administrative tasks related to the maintenance and processing of invoices.

What you’ll be doing:

• Sort, code, verify and enter invoices into the company accounting system.
• Coordinate with various departments for invoice approval.
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve payment issues.
• Maintain files and documentation in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
• Perform vendor account reconciliations on an as needed basis.
• Assist with other projects as needed.

What we look for:

• Associates Degree or higher preferred
• 2 years experience working in a fast paced, corporate environment
• Proficient in computer programs including Microsoft Office and Google Sheets. Knowledge of Sage X3 is helpful but not required. Knowledge of VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables is a plus
• Excellent oral/written communication and listening skills
• Self-starter
• Detail oriented and willing to learn
• Professional attitude, good organization skills and dependability.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
