Winston Online is searching for excellent candidates for a part-time Administrative Assistant position. Below is some ground information regarding our school and the available position.
Part of the Winston Preparatory School network, Winston Online is a fully online program for students (grades 4-12) with learning differences such as dyslexia, nonverbal learning disabilities, expressive or receptive language disorders, and executive functioning difficulties. Our mission is to facilitate the independence of students with learning difficulties through assessment-driven individualized education, research, and outreach. Essential Tasks

The ideal candidate will be flexible with a growth mindset detail-oriented, proactive, highly organized, a problem solver, and able to work collaboratively. Sound writing ability and excellent interpersonal skills are required to communicate effectively with leadership, faculty, students, and families. A solid administrative ground and strong proficiency in Google Workspace and Excel are required.
Responsibilities may include:

Database entry to update school records, attendance, transcripts, student schedules, and internal documents

Generate the school’s weekly parent newsletter

Maintain student and faculty directories
-
Schedule internal and external meetings, interviews, and conferences
-
Respond to and appropriately direct internal and external inquiries

Maintain documents and records
-
Prepare meeting and conference materials
-
Coordinate travel
-
Compose, type, and edit letters and memos from verbal instruction
-
Proof information as needed
-
Support special projects as assigned
-
Provide general office assistance as needed

Plan and conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate

Perform related work as required
Qualifications
-
Two years of administrative experience required
-
High Proficiency in Google Workspace and Excel
