The Role:
The role is responsible for accurate taking of orders, fulfillment of orders and exhibiting above average guest relation skills.
Responsibilities:
Working with managers and other team members to support banquets operation.
Review, inspect and reinforce every F & B policy, operating procedures, manuals, training programs for the Banquet and stewarding staff and personnel.
Being knowledgeable of all menu items.
Ensure that the team has excellent product knowledge
Ensure that the food and beverage offered, are of a consistently high standard.
Creating and Maintaining a positive attitude toward work, colleagues and interface with guests in a congenial and polite manner.
Working with team to maintain high quality standards, deliver exceptional service and always providing attentive service.
Manage the event(s) from the beginning to the end.
Serving guests in a timely fashion
Maintaining cleanliness of all dining and service areas
Work with Banquet/Stewarding/housemen team to ensure departmental strategic goals and intent are being met and exceeding expectations
Monitor all work areas for compliance with safety and health department regulations and takes actions to correct any deficiencies
Accurately enter orders into the P.O.S. system
Shifts will vary in time. From early mornings to late evening shifts.
Ensure the restocking of all linen, china, silverware, glassware, condiments, etc.
Maintaining a safe working conditions and ensuring safe work practices are followed to avoid accidents/injuries. Ensuring health and safety policies are adhered to at all times.
Ensure that the team is aware of their responsibility in respect of prevention and action in the event of fire in accordance with the department’s fire plan and current legislation.
Be fully conversant with current legislation and licensing laws ensuring that this is communicated throughout the outlet.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a strong passion for exemplary customer service both internal and external
Must have a can-do attitude
Serve Safe Certificate
Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certificate
Education and/or Experience:
Requires a minimum of one (1) year Food & Beverage experience in an upscale restaurant or high end resort
Must have working knowledge of Micros Point of Sale system or similar program
