Job Description
Here an Tenax we handle the books so our business owners can sleep easier at night.
We need an enthusiastic and detailed-oriented teammate – who knows QBO inside and out – to complete and optimize the Receipts and Bank Transactions modules for our Clients.
This position is ideal for someone ready to prove their mastery of these modules, while simultaneously taking advantage of the chance to expand on that experience to more full-cycle accounting. Help us lead the way to more valuable contract accounting services for our clients by way of streamlining process and automating of data entry.
This is a work from where you are position. You will be responsible for having a computer with at least one additional screen in an environment conducive to work (and limited in distraction) with reliable and speedy internet.
Responsibilities
Bookkeeping
- Client email management and communications with their Customers and Vendors
- Transaction handling in QBO – Customer, Vendor, Employee, Contractor
Accounting
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations (bank, credit card, vendor, etc.)
- Assist with month-end closing procedures
- Support the preparation of reports
Other Duties
- Participate in special projects as needed, including annual tasks like 1099s
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information
Qualifications:
- Understanding of accounting principles
- Some experience with QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, Intacct, etc.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (or Google Workspace, and Sheets)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively work autonomously in a fully remote environment
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 20 per week
