About the Role:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Chinese Student Career Coach to join our team in the USA/UK. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Engineering, Software Development (SDE), Data, or Investment Banking and must be a native Chinese speaker. The primary responsibility of this role is to guide and mentor Chinese students in their career development, helping them navigate the job market in the USA/UK, and prepare them for successful careers in their respective fields.
Job Responsibilities:
· Provide personalized career coaching and mentorship to Chinese students pursuing careers in Engineering, Software Development, Data, and Investment Banking.
· Assist students in developing career plans, setting goals, and identifying suitable job opportunities in the USA/UK.
· Conduct mock interviews, resume reviews, and provide feedback on job applications tailored to the standards of the relevant industries.
· Offer guidance on navigating cultural differences in the workplace, with a focus on the transition from academic environments to professional settings.
· Provide industry-specific insights and trends, including advice on the skills and qualifications needed to succeed in Engineering, SDE, Data, and Investment Banking.
· Facilitate workshops, webinars, and group coaching sessions to address common challenges faced by Chinese students in the job market.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the job market, industry trends, and employer expectations in the USA/UK.
Job Requirements:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, or a related field.
· Extensive experience (minimum of 3 years of work experience in renowned UK / US companies) in Engineering, SDE, DATA, or Investment Banking, preferably in the USA/UK.
· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both Chinese [Must Be Native Level] and English languages.
· Proven experience in career coaching, mentoring, or student advisory roles, with a focus on Chinese students or international students.
· Strong understanding of the job market in the USA/UK, including knowledge of industry-specific requirements and best practices.
· Ability to build strong relationships with students and provide tailored advice that aligns with their career aspirations.
· Experience in delivering workshops, webinars, and group coaching sessions is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
· Familiarity with the recruitment processes in the USA/UK, including visa requirements for international students.
· Ability to provide guidance on soft skills development, including communication, networking, and workplace etiquette.
· Knowledge of the latest trends in technology, finance, and data science, and the ability to convey this information to students.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
