Cocktail Server Job 2024 Full Time

SUMMARY:

Greets guests in a timely manner and requests primary beverage order.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Initiates conversation with guest, inquiring about their satisfaction with the restaurant.
• Expedites drink orders for each party quickly and accurately.
• Serves refills upon request as well as follow up for additional beverage requirements.
• Adheres to all responsible alcohol serving requirements as dictated by the state; request identification from guest ordering alcohol when legal age is questionable.
• Anticipates guest needs, when possible, and provide extra items, drinks, and condiments to the table.
• Communicates with servers and managers regarding guest requests.
• Performs other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
• Must be able to maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance.
• Must be able to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
• Basic math skill is required.
• Ability to handle cash and accurately make change.
• Must be able to maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude and ability to deal effectively with guests and management.
• Physical ability to access all areas of the facility, withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, kneeling, lifting and carrying items weighting up to 25 lbs without restriction.
• Environmental factors include noise, dust, cigarette smoke etc.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Previous cocktail serving experience preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must be able to obtain valid Health Card and Alcohol Awareness Card.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to effectively communicate in English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Must have Microsoft Office experience and basic computer skills.
