Job Overview: As a Government Contract Bid Specialist, you will play a crucial role in driving our business development strategy. Your primary responsibilities will include identifying government contract opportunities that align with SY Industries LLC’s capabilities, sourcing competitive quotes from similarly situated small business subcontractors, and crafting high-quality, compliant proposals that meet the stringent requirements of U.S. government solicitations.

Please note: This is a commission-based position, with compensation of +/- 5% for every awarded contract. There is no base salary.

Qualifications and Key Responsibilities

• Required Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in government contracting, proposal writing, and subcontractor management is required. This experience is critical to succeeding in this role.
• Working at or with a government agency in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Purchasing.
• Understanding the business development and capture process within the federal marketplace.
• Searching for business opportunities across multiple platforms (e.g., SAM.gov, Unison, GovWin, GovTribe, Symphony, GSA, eBuy, local/state).
• Experience in writing, editing, and managing government bidding, particularly in response to RFPs, RFQs, RFIs and ITBs.
• Familiarity with government contracting processes and regulations.
• Proficiency in reviewing high volumes of contract opportunities and quickly deciding to pass or dedicate more time to provide the contract deeper consideration.
• Experience in project management, particularly in managing complex and multifaceted projects.
• Familiarity with government procurement platforms and digital bidding systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools.
