Provide friendly, responsive, superior service to create an exceptional dining and entertainment experience for every guest. Each server’s primary objective is to provide unequaled personalized service through focus, professionalism, anticipation, and performance.
Duties & Responsibilities :
Welcome and greet guests in a manner that makes every one feel comfortable and appreciated. Let them know you’re there to personally take care of them.
Make recommendations on menu items, wine parings, and special offerings that your guests will find helpful and enjoyable.
Answer questions about other restaurant functions and services.
Take food and beverage orders from guests, up-selling when possible, and enter orders in our POS system.
Deliver food and beverages from kitchen and bar, controlling flow of service to ensure guests are satisfied with their entire experience.
Anticipate and respond promptly and courteously to any expectation or request.
Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment.
Maintain clean service areas.
Monitor and observe guests dining and/or bocce experience.
Prepare final bill, present check to guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change (if applicable).
Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers as situations arise.
Be ready and willing to assist busperson with clearing and resetting tables.
Explain, teach, coach, and referee the sport of bocce as required.
Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.
Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
Qualifications:
Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests.
Must have prior experience with dining room and service procedures, functions and protocol. One year prior experience as busperson or six months as server preferred.
Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
Be experienced in (or trainable) and able to explain and play the sport of Bocce.
Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours) and walk long distances (up to 5 miles) per shift.
Be able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food, or tables frequently weighing up to 20 to 25 pounds.
