Job Summary
This position reports directly to the Analytics Manager, contributing to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the department’s data management and analysis activities. The Data Analyst, situated in the Analytics Department of our healthcare organization, is crucial for supporting the department’s objectives. Their focus is on providing detailed trending reports for government submissions, essential for healthcare initiatives’ funding, internal measure tracking and ad-hoc reporting. They will develop and maintain reports and dashboards using advanced tools and data Lakehouse connections. The role demands precision and adaptability to specific reporting requirements. Continuous learning, especially in the Microsoft Suite of data tools like Excel, Power BI, Azure Data Studio and Fabric are key components of this role.
Job Status
Full-time, Non-exempt. Remote work option available.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret complex data sets using SQL, DAX and Phyton.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in Microsoft Power BI and Tableau Cloud.
- Ensure data accuracy through meticulous validation and cleaning processes.
- Work collaboratively with various teams to identify and prioritize business needs.
- Identify trends and patterns in data to inform strategic decisions.
- Manage data warehousing and storage connections using Fabric.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Proficiency in SQL, DAX, Python, Microsoft Excel, and other BI tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of Crystal Reports and Business Objects applications is preferred.
- Camera must be on for all virtual meetings as part of remote work requirements.
Education and Experience
- Associates degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or another quantitative field.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Systems, or another quantitative field.
- Proven experience in data analysis or related field.
- Familiarity with BI technologies and data warehousing solutions.
