A Brief Overview

The Employee Relations Partner will conduct investigations of moderate complex associate relations issues and will present corrective action recommendations to field leadership, as applicable. The Employee Relations partner is expected to be an advisor to the business to ensure consistent accountability and compliance with company policies and procedures.

What you will do

• Conducts moderate to highly complex associate relations investigations on a variety of matters, including but not limited to violation of policy or procedure (i.e. drug and alcohol, driver safety, and timekeeping), discrimination, harassment, retaliation, perceived unfair treatment, unlawful workplace activity and wrongful termination concerns.
• Reviews findings and recommendations with Associate Relations Manager for alignment and consistency.
• Reviews timecards and coordinates remediation of timecard issues, as necessary following timekeeping investigation.
• Produce weekly investigation insights to Associate Relations Manager.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of Associate Relations issues, investigations, and resolutions in designated case management system.
• Provides consultation, guidance, corrective action and coaching solutions to People Business Partners and business leaders to resolve associate relations issues fairly and consistently across the organization.
• Reviews corrective actions for hourly and exempt associates, following the standardized corrective action approach.
• Supports Associate Relations Manager with maintenance of leader corrective action tools and resources, including the addition of corrective action templates for new policies and procedures.
• Supports Associate Relations Manager in creation and maintenance of investigation resources, such as the Investigation Protocol Guide, Workplace Violence Guide, Reasonable Suspicion resources, Criminal Activity guide and Timeclocking investigation resources.
• Reviews and documents religious accommodation requests and guides leaders through interactive process.
• Assist Associate Relations Manager in providing training and support to PBPs and leaders on Associate Relations best practices, conflict resolution, and company policies.
• Gathers data from various sources (including but not limited to the case management system, People Direct calls and emails, ethics hotline reports, and corrective action submissions) and creates quarterly and monthly reporting of associate relations issues and trends.
• Administers the Ethics Hotline case management tool and assigns ethics cases according to complexity level. Documents case resolutions in system.
• Creates reporting on ethics hotline data for PLD Leadership, Senior Leadership team, financial and risk auditors and Belron partners, as requested.
• Supports new business integrations (acquisitions) to ensure newly acquired associates complete required onboarding processes.
• Represents people function on M&A project calls to ensure collection of necessary workforce data.
• Research former Safelite associates, if applicable, and determine cause of separation.
• Supports Associate Relations Manager with quarterly review of People Guide and departmental policy guides and collaborates with designated policy owners to update policies, as needed.
• Works across organizational boundaries to drive consistency, frequently collaborating and aligning with Field leadership, Risk, Fleet, Legal, Health and Safety and Security teams.
• Supports Associate Relations Manager with other special projects, as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Complies with all policies and standards
