Duties
If selected for this position, you will provide a variety of human resources management advisory services in the following functional areas: recruitment and placement, position classification, employee relations and performance management, employee benefits, compensation, and human resources development. If selected, you will receive formal and/or on-the-job training as needed.

Qualifications

Specialized experience is defined as performing administrative work which demonstrates a basic knowledge of human resources to include assisting senior HR specialists with recruitment actions; processing pre-employment packages; conducting onboarding of new employees; entering personnel and payroll actions into HR databases; performing human resources records management duties; and providing a general overview on Federal government employee benefits. Education: One of the following types of education: one (1) full year of graduate level education; OR four (4) years of undergraduate level education leading to a bachelor’s degree with Superior Academic Achievement. Education at the graduate level must be in an accredited college or university and must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the position. Superior Academic Achievement recognizes students who have achieved superior academic standing as evidenced by one of the following: (1) class standing; (2) grade-point average; or (3) honor society membership and described as follows: (1) Class Standing – Applicants must be in the upper third of their graduating class in the college, university, or major subdivision, such as the College of Liberal Arts or the School of Business Administration, based on completed courses at the time of application. Specialized experience is defined as experience: preparing job analysis, crediting plans and job announcements and providing qualifications analysis on applicants; preparing position descriptions for clerical and technical positions; advising personnel on benefits and program features; reviewing requests for changes in coverage or enrollment for benefits to ensure such requests are consistent with applicable guidelines; and reviewing and evaluating performance work plans. OR
Education: One of the following types of education in a related field (e.g., Human Resources): a Master’s or equivalent graduate degree (such as an LL.B.); OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree. Education at the graduate level must be in an accredited college or university and must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the position. OR
Combining Education and Experience: Combinations of successfully completed graduate education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements. In order to qualify based on a combination, graduate education must be in excess of 1 full year.
