Under the supervision of the CEO/Managing Partner, the Bookkeeper is responsible for, but not limited to, maintaining the day-to-day accounting functions, accruals, financial statement preparation, and performing general accounting functions, as required. The Bookkeeper shall perform various accounting duties to maintain the company’s & client books according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) utilizing various accounting software tools. Responsibilities support the goal of maintaining accurate documentation and clear communication with internal staff and external business partners. This is a part-time non-exempt hourly position with an opportunity to grow as the company grows.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: NONE

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The essential job duties shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
• Full cycle Accounts Receivable, including preparation of monthly invoices and maintaining customer and vendor records Accounts Payable including: purchase orders and vendor records maintenance

• Multiple Bank reconciliations for depository and investment accounts
• Reconcile all balance sheet accounts; reviewing for input accuracy and prepare monthly reports and journal entries, as needed
• General ledger maintenance
• Prepare weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly or monthly payroll as needed
• Administration of quarterly business and payroll taxes as needed
• Prepare monthly financial statements
• Maintain required business documents
• Prepare annual 1099’s
• Assistance with the annual budget and audit process as needed
• Maintain financial document retention files as needed
• New vendor setup and maintenance
• Perform accounting requirements for various industry specific projects

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficient in accounting software (3 years minimum experience), specifically QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop accounting software
• 3-5 years of Bookkeeping experience
• Strong verbal, written and in-person communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office – specifically expertise in Microsoft Excel
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, team player environment
• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality
• Must be able to work independently and with a team to drive results and performance
• Strong organizational skills
• Preferred certification of Quickbooks Desktop or Online, Zero, or Netsuite.

Schedule:

• Part-time
• Monday to Friday
• The specific hours to be agreed upon by the individual and the partners. However, we anticipate a minimum of 15 hours/week depending upon our client growth and processing needs.

Work Remotely – COVID-19 considerations:Due to COVID-19, we are currently working from home. We will provide most training online but may also provide one or two in-person trainings, as needed, while taking COVID-19 precautions, such as wearing masks, gloves, and observing social distancing.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
