Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, handling payroll inquiries, maintaining payroll records, and complying with relevant laws and regulations. This role plays a crucial role in ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, and efficiency to support the organization’s financial operations and employee satisfaction.
Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions)

- Ensure accurate and timely processing of multi-state payroll on a bi-weekly basis.
- Review and approve payroll data, including timekeeping records, bonuses, commissions, and other compensation adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll tax laws, regulations, and requirements and implement necessary updates.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and employee information in the payroll system.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to streamline payroll operations and enhance accuracy.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll procedures and records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, and Legal, to address payroll issues and provide strategic guidance.
- Prepare and present payroll reports, audit documentation and analysis to management, stakeholders and outside auditors as needed.
- Manage and maintain payroll systems, ensuring they are updated and optimized for efficiency.
- Provide back-up coverage and support for other payroll positions, as required.
- Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.

Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll administration or a related role.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proven experience as a payroll administrator or in a similar role, demonstrating a solid understanding of payroll processes and regulations.
- Proficiency with UKG payroll software and advanced Excel skills, preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strategic thinker.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Wage: $26.92 – $31.73 hourly; actual wage is based upon education and experience.
