The Provider Service Coordinator delivers basic technical, administrative, or operative Customer Service tasks.

The Provider Service Coordinator delivers basic technical, administrative, or operative Customer Service tasks. Maintains and distributes reports/documents, maintains files, and provides general administrative support. Understands simple instructions and procedures. Performs Resource Planning duties under direct instruction and close supervision. Work is allocated on a day-to-day or task-by-task basis with clear instructions. Entry point into professional roles.
Must be a current employee or contractor with The Cigna Group, Evernorth Health Services or one of their subsidiaries.
Ideal candidate will have a combination of:
High School Diploma or equivalent; college, preferred
Computer literacy skills a must including Microsoft Office Suite – Excel and Outlook
Experience with strategic planning and scheduling
Excellent verbal and written communication experience
Skills desired: organizational, critical thinking, detail oriented, quick-learner, time-management
Duties and Responsibilities:
Establish concierge level relationships with assigned providers.
Work with providers to understand their preferences (e.g. availability, territory, etc.) and balance with the needs of the business.
Create and execute daily provider schedules based on staffing and patient needs.
Review daily schedules for accuracy and release schedules when final.
Map out provider and patient locations and availability to create a daily route for the providers.
Communicate effectively with the department through email about provider’s schedule status, leads to call, and any daily assignments.
Place reminder calls to patients with upcoming appointments. Calls are recorded for quality assurance and compliance.
Respond to emails/calls throughout the day from providers, schedulers, and upper management in a timely manner.
Meet or exceed individual and department service levels and service standards.
Provider FSL profile Management meaning License updates, capacity, descriptions, provider contact information updates.
Assisting providers while out in the field.
Provider schedule management ensuring they are being scheduled in states they are licensed in as well as areas they can actually travel to.
SharePoint updates to roster and provider onboarding spreadsheets.
Special projects or other duties as assigned.
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
