Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Remote Systems Administrator to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals on the NOC team. This position can be worked remotely. The qualified applicant will become part of Peraton’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Infrastructure Managed Services (IMS) Program, for the US Coast Guard (CG). This initiative is modernizing and consolidating the operational environment under a common technology framework in order to better support the services provided to CGs customers.
The ideal candidate will have experience in managing Microsoft 365 (M365), cloud platforms, Exchange, Active Directory, and Windows Server 2016/2019. This role involves working as part of a Network Operations Center (NOC) environment, providing critical support and monitoring services on a shift basis.
- Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network engineers.
- Monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to M365, cloud services, Exchange, Active Directory, and Windows Server 2016/2019 environments.
- Perform routine maintenance and updates on servers and other critical systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and support IT initiatives.
- Maintain and update system documentation and logs.
- Provide timely and efficient incident response and resolution in a 24/7 environment.
- Follows procedures to validate, troubleshoot, and escalate issues.

Qualifications
- BS/BA degree and 0 years experience or high school diploma/equivalent and four years experience
- U.S. Citizenship required; must have a minimum of a Secret clearance (or higher)
- Security+ Certification required
- Proven experience in system administration, with a strong background in M365, cloud platforms, Exchange, Active Directory, and Windows Server 2016/2019
- Solid understanding of network protocols, security principles, and best practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional certifications in cloud technologies or network administration
- Experience working in a NOC or similar environment
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and frameworks
- Target Salary Range
$51,000 – $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
