Our team of hosts and servers work together to provide excellent hospitality to our guests in a fast-paced environment. Our servers are a vital part of our day-to-day operations. As a server you will be attending to tables, taking orders, and inputting them to our POS. We want servers who are friendly, efficient, and able to bring energy to every interaction. We want our servers to feel equipped to handle even the busiest of days, with lots of support staff in a team of Hosts and takeout specialists, servers should be able to focus on their tables and provide the best service they can.

As a Server you will have responsibilities such as:

• Understand and be able to recommend and describe restaurant dishes to guests.
• Enter table orders into the POS.
• Greet customers when entering or leaving the restaurant.
• Upsell special menu items or deserts.
• Bring a spark of energy to every shift!
• Bring food out from the kitchen in coordination with host staff.

And have following required knowledges, skills, and ability:

• Ability to smile and communicate clearly with guests.
• Able to arrive at work on time and reliably.
• Ability to stand on your feet for a long time.
• Be able to answer the phone and take orders efficiently and with a positive attitude.
• Experience in front of house responsibilities.
• Able to learn and recite menu items.

The Mustard Seed was started in 1978 in Missoula, Montana by a group of friends and family. Included in that group were sisters Betty and Nancy Tokumoto and Betty’s husband, David Hall. Betty and Nancy grew up in Okinawa, Bangkok, and Hawaii and attended college in Oregon; so, they have a unique ability to blend the cooking styles of the Far East with the tastes of the Pacific Northwest. Our recipes were created or inspired by the Tokumoto sisters.
