Server Job 2024 Part Time

We have an amazing opportunity for you to join our vibrant team at Sunberry Restaurant and Bar, a bustling high-volume restaurant located in the heart of downtown Hartford!

We pride ourselves on our commitment to quality, outstanding service, and our ability to create a memorable dining experience for our patrons.

We are looking for a server with Sunday and Tuesday availability preferably.

“`Duties“`
– Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
– Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
– Maintain a clean and organized bar area
– Check customers’ identification to ensure they meet the legal drinking age
– Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
– Monitor alcohol consumption and ensure responsible drinking
– Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner
– Provide excellent customer service and address any customer concerns or complaints

“`Qualifications“`
– Previous experience as a bartender/server or in a similar role preferred
– Knowledge of math for measuring ingredients and calculating bills
– Familiarity with Aloha POS system is a plus
– Ability to handle food safely and follow food handling guidelines
– Experience in catering or event bartending is an asset
– Strong hospitality and sales skills to upsell drinks and promote specials
– Understanding of the food industry and knowledge of different types of beverages
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
