Tax Preparer (Seasonal) Job 2024 Full Time

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in public accounting and a strong understanding of financial concepts and sales strategies. The Tax Preparer will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns for clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws. The role requires exceptional math skills, proficiency in 10-key typing, and the ability to work well under deadlines. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in tax preparation software, including Sage, and will have a passion for delivering excellent customer service. **Responsibilities:** – Prepare and review tax returns for clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws – Conduct thorough interviews with clients to gather relevant financial information – Analyze financial data and apply knowledge of tax laws to prepare tax returns – Maintain accurate records and files of client information and tax returns – Provide exceptional customer service, answering client questions and addressing concerns – Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations – Utilize Sage tax preparation software to efficiently prepare and review tax returns – Meet deadlines and manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously – Develop and maintain a strong understanding of financial concepts and sales strategies – Collaborate with other team members to achieve business goals – Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions **Qualifications:** – Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field – Minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting or tax preparation – Strong understanding of financial concepts and sales strategies – Proficiency in 10-key typing – Knowledge of tax preparation software, including Sage – Excellent math skills – Ability to work well under deadlines – Strong customer service skills – Experience in a fast-paced sales environment – Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions – Familiarity with the market and industry trends – Certification in Tax Preparation or related field is a plus

Job Types: Seasonal, Contract

Pay: $17.88 – $20.54 per hour
