Summary
The Technical Consultant provides technical solutions to customer needs. These can be assisting the customer to get data in and/or out of the Encompass platform (reporting and integrations) or to get custom application functionality requirements documented to be passed off to others for development. Because of this wide range of activities, the technical consultant must be motivated, customer facing and technically well rounded. They will serve four general functions within the technical consulting team to deliver technical solutions for our customers: business analyst, BI developer, technical solutions developer, and project leader.
Key Responsibilities
Project Lead
- Initiate projects by conducting a discovery meeting with a customer interested in engaging a project service. This identifies the practicality and scope of the project.
- Monitor and control the execution of the project. Audit solutions created by the development teams, provide frequent delivery of increments to the customer to obtain feedback, and ensure development of expected solutions
- Deliver finished products to the customer. Receive customer acknowledgement of delivery of project at or above customer expectations, and hand off project to customer.
- Monitor utilized effort against the estimate to ensure the work stays within budget; raising risks and issues to the customer or internally as appropriate.
- The project lead is responsible for setting and managing customer expectations of scope, schedule and risk.
- They will always use clear and transparent communication with the customer.
- Business Analyst
- Generate language and estimates for a Statement of Work (SOW) by outlining the work to be completed, and the estimated time/resources needed to complete the project.
- Collaborate with the customer on the project deliverables and with internal development teams to ensure the project will utilize existing functionality and is supportable in the long term.
- Must be able to clearly document customer requirements, outcomes and deliverables.
- Must be able to articulate solutions to people with varying levels of technical knowledge.
- BI Developer
- Must be proficient at creating small to medium sized reports using Fusion and, optionally, Power BI.
- Must have a good working knowledge of database concepts (table relationships, basic data extraction SQL queries, etc)
Technical Solutions Developer/Designer
- The consultant will often be responsible for helping design and/or build multi-faceted technical solutions. This could include integrations that require Fusion development along with API configuration, field mapping, etc.
- The consultant may also need to design more complex solutions that would require some of the work to be done by other internal developers.
Other duties
- Contribute to Services Showcase and other trainings/presentations
- Present internal and customer facing content trainings and follow up with practical exam content
- Work on internal projects and act as a knowledge resource for the company
- Continue to grow knowledge of Encompass features and tools
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Encompass and/or the beverage production/distribution industry

Experience with developing integrations using an iPaaS platform (e.g. Celigo, Boomi, Mulestoft, etc)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing experience
- Ability to proactively prioritize work to be done
- Experience to break down complex problems to their core components and clearly articulate next steps
- A self-motivated critical thinker
- A can-do attitude with a zest for life
- Ability to manage multiple projects spanning multiple time zones
- Ability to work in an agile environment, handling various priorities.
- Strong computer and investigative skills.
- Experience with relational databases
- Experience reading and writing SQL and Fusion reporting
Education and Experience
- Associate or Bachelor degree in Business, Information Services, Computer Science or similar discipline, or
- 3+ years of technical experience in the beverage industry.
Additional Details
We’re hiring for two roles. We’re hiring a junior Technical Consultant and a Senior Technical Consultant. Each role will receive a competitive salary + bonus + benefits. The salary for US-based employees located in the below markets may expect offers in the ranges for this role.
Technical Consultant (junior level) annual base: $62,000 – $75,000 annually
Senior Technical Consultant annual base: $78,000 – $90,000 annually
A variety of factors are considered when determining someone’s compensation, including a candidate’s professional background, experience, and location. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed above based on these considerations.
Location: We are a hybrid organization and are open to remote work. Our corporate office is located in Fort Collins, CO.
