We are seeking a new Dining Room Server to join our team. Your will be responsible for the correct and efficient serving of meals in assigned dining rooms. This position is also responsible for any set up and break down duties along with utilization of proper food handling and sanitation practices, and proper use and storage of food, equipment and supplies. As a member of the Hospitality department, you will work with fellow Dining Room Servers, Prep Cooks, Line Cooks, Bartender, and Dishwashers, and report to our Front of House Manager and Director of Hospitality
What You Will Do:
- Maintain a high level of customer service at all times
- Clear dirty dishes from tables during and after meal service, assist with any dish cleaning as needed
- Complete all designated and assigned side work
- Serve a section of 4-5 tables, occasionally taking larger parties in the private dining rooms, assisting server with neighboring sections as needed
- Set tables and maintain work station in proper order
- Take food and drink orders from residents accurately and with a positive attitude
- Write food orders on order slips, memorize orders, and enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff
- Engage with residents and follow staff member in a gracious, tact, and courteous manner
- Knowledge of the menu and residents’ diets and personal food choices, with the ability to make suggestions
- Ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems
